Myths and Facts on Anal Sex
At one time every state in America had a law against sodomy. According to the Associated Press as recently as 1960 every state still had an anti-sodomy law, though several states didn’t actively uphold them. They were just old laws that still happened to -be on the books.
Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah and Virginia still prohibit sodomy today. Yes that’s right, it’s illegal to have anal sex with your spouse in your own home. Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas prohibit sodomy between same sex partners only. And in 1968 Georgia became the first Southern state to retain sodomy as a felony and made it applicable to lesbians. In 1986 the Georgia sodomy law prompted the United States Supreme Court decision that homosexual sodomy is not a fundamental right.
Those are the legal facts. But there are beliefs about anal sex out there too, myths if you will. One myth easy to bust is that anal sex is only enjoyed by homosexuals. That is absolutely not true. Many heterosexuals enjoy anal sex. In some cultures where virginity is still prized, women engage in anal sex in their young adult years before marriage, so they can still have some fun and yet be a “virgin” in the technical sense on their wedding night. The younger generation, in many cultures, has recently explored oral and anal sex so they don’t have to worry about unwanted pregnancy.
Some important information to know is that the anus does contain its own natural bacteria- so nothing that goes into it should go into any other part of the body without first being thoroughly washed. The anus isn’t actually “dirty” per se, yet another myth we can bust. It can be cleaned just like the rest of the body. But remember, once something is inserted into the anus, that something may contain the same bacteria naturally found in the anus and steps should be taken not to spread that bacteria anywhere else.
Another easy myth to bust is that anal sex is painful and causes hemorrhoids, fissures, tears or even incontinence. If anal sex is causing pain, it’s not being done right, according to Dr. Hilda Hutcherson, author of “What Your Mother Never Told You About Sex.” She also states that anal sex does not cause hemorrhoids, fissures, tears, or incontinence. She’s referring of course to consensual anal sex. Damage can be done to any orifice in the crime of rape.
The only myth mankind really cannot prove true or false is whether or not sodomy is in fact a “crime of nature” or “crime of God.” That’s a personal decision that each individual must decide for themselves.
For more information there are also many magazines, websites, clubs, chat rooms etc. that sing the praises of anal sex. For oils lubricants and toys there are a multitude of choices. Tom is already in this situation and he is asking questions about it. Sarah and HIM have at least provided somewhat helpful opinions. Helen, your advise is good advise as well but you are ignorant. 11 and 12 is the age at which experimentation and questions are becoming pretty common.
Tom, you don’t have to put a label on your sex life. I don’t believe you should have one yet, but it sounds like you may. My advise…if you choose to have sex of any sort, use protection, enjoy it, and don’t worry about labels.

Helen, it would seem that you are trying to stop him thinking about it. I knew i was gay at the age of 12, and had known for ages before that. Does that make me a horrendous person for thinking it? To ignore such thoughts creates people who could quite possibly go through later life repressing who they really are.
HOWEVER, you shouldnt be having sex at the age of 12, and the fact that you know about such things and would do it, speaks volumes about your social life, as well as the apparent lack of parenting as well as a terrible sense of judgement, even without the alcohol, which, is another story together.
Also, the fact that you ‘had’ anal sex, seems to imply that you had experimented previously, as anal sex, for anyone, let alone a child, is an extreme conclusion, something that again, leads to the assumption that there has been a serious lack of communication in your life.

you can relax, you do not need special lube. you can shit yourself, it happened to a girl to whom i was performing anal sex. I would suggest using lube unscented and very not special. i would suggest trying to be “empty”. Go number 2 and then take a shower then have a good night with your man there is nothing to fear and as long as the other party is willing to work with you slowly while you get used to it and learn together what will make the experience enjoyable and not for you then you should have no problems whatsoever. okay, so. studies recently discovered that the youngest age of binge drinking amoung adolescents can be as young as 8, if that IS an adolescent… and sexual experimentation basically comes hand in hand with drinking amonga dolescents, so having everyone throwing judgements in this boys way, is a very un educated thing to do. my peers were delving in sexual experimentation before i ever hit high school, or before i was 12 more to the point. and it was not an uncommon occurence. lets not judge this boy with our uneducated opinions, and listen to his cry for understanding. i personallly would not worry about this encounter too much, as i too have dabbled in sexual encounters with those of the same sex, sometimes not of a concious mind, neverthe less, these things happen. and we should take these experiences and use them to build up a strong structure and understanding of who we are as individuuals!

Actually nowadays I personally don’t think it’s uncommon for people of 11 years to have sex, it’s happening all the time with young people I myself and 14 and I am a virgin but I know many people younger than me who have had sex!
I personally feel it’s important if your sexually active to ask questions if your unsure of things….rather than make a horrible mistake because you weren’t educated…

I really do hope that you return to this site and can see my comment. My dear, i think you should start by asking yourself why you want to get pregnant in the first place. It seems like ypu have a lot of love to give and a craving to nurture another being. It is a wonderful thing to mother a child, but believe me it comes with huge responsibilities beyond anything you may know now. Please, please and please, take out time to speak with a qualified person about your birthing desires and your sexual habits. If you cannot speak to your mother or any one else around you, do seek some professional help. I will be happy to share my thoughts with you by private mail/discussions if you like, but it is always better to get some help – deal with the basic issues of the “whys” first before getting into anything you may regret.
I am not sure if your desire is to have sex/or a baby fill a need, loneliness or fantasy, but there is definitely something of love and tender care you need filled which neither act or opetion you have shared will bring you at this time. I am glad you have reached out somehow by sending in your comment (even though you are a little young for this site – but I am not judging you), I do hope a qualified and balanced thinking professional can help you…otherwise I hope good hearted adults in your area/locale will be able to assist you without condemning you. Either way, I pray you find the kind of love that fills you completely and does not take away your innocence or change your body/mental health the way casual sex or having a baby at a premature age can do. I think you should try to take your mind off the harmful practices for a while – alchohol, anal sex, homosexuality, even heterosexuality and just focus on healthier issues. I do not think you should trap yourself into a box and label yourself in any way. You hae come into this worl unique…time reveals such uniqueness and trying to chart a course for yourself so early in life could stifle that….breathe, abstain and calmly observe all that life offer, before making a choices – either way.
